The last survivor of the Dukedog Class 4-4-0 No. 9017 meanders along the scenic Dee Valley in the 1950s.

Seen on the stretch between Carrog and Corwen en route from Ruabon to Barmouth on what is now the preserved Llangollen Railway.

Hotwell Road, Bristol 1959

Ex GWR 57XX class pannier tank No. 3776 of St. Phillips Marsh shed ambles along Mardyke Wharf with a freight from Canons Marsh towards Ashton Swing Bridge. The Bristol Harbour branch line closed in 1965.

Moored alonsgside is a Royal Naval inshore minesweeper of the Ley Class.

Designed in 1947 and completed in 1950, the Art Deco style Ocean Terminal was 1,297ft long and serviced the Cunard "Queens" and other transatlantic liners.

Shown here with a Class 73 Electro-Diesel engine in the fore ground.

The building was demolished in 1983.
