It was just one of the many great shipping companies that helped to give this country the largest merchant service in the world.

P&O - The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company was formed in 1840 and services started to Australia in 1845.

Known as the great white sisters, it was a major attraction wherever it sailed to and in their time, carried hundreds of thousands of passengers on voyages of adventure, excitement and romance.

Blue Star Line was started by the Vestey family from Liverpool who owned a chain of butchers shops across the UK. They became involved in importing meat from South.

The Queen Mary Ocean Liner teapot is one of the most beautiful novelty teapots of all time. This teapot is cast from the original Art Deco moulds and was sold on board the ship during the 1920s and 1930s. This grande dame of the seas is finished in the original white glaze, with her distinctive red funnels of the Cunard Line, and is highlighted in platinum lustre, which is applied by hand by our skilled decorators.

The Titanic is probably the most famous ocean liner of all time, having sunk on her maiden voyage in 1912. This commemorative teapot is cast from the original Art Deco moulds and was first made in 1937, but never put into production. The Titanic’s hull is finished in the original black glaze, with her distinctive four funnels, and is highlighted in platinum lustre, which is applied by hand by our skilled decorators.
